I based Ja'Far's image on what what represented in the musical, and took the assumption that his image displayed in the Disney production was to exaggerate his "disgrace" and thus "ugliness;" even though he is mentioned to be not exactly attractive...I still went with it. LoL. I tried to make it as close to a Disney style as possible. For reasons. LoL.
